2013-09-11T01:07:57+00:00 above didnt work in mine i have to use task manager once in half hour to shut down SearchFilterHost.exe and again after some time popup up hidden start to take cpu usuage
in mine windows 8 laptop
has virus infected
but everything is working well just this cpu usuage to 30% any my laptop fan starts to run up loudly....
making annoyying as i m not playing any graphics game

And this computer has been checked for malware and viruses, and there are none. I don't know how to get to what you are showing. Windows key on keyboard + W does not get me to this window. I have tried 6 times now. Is there another way? I really do appreciate all your help!
Win+W gets you to the Settings Search box. Type Indexing Options and WAIT for a few seconds for the search to give you the RIGHT option.

2013-12-21T17:23:54+00:00 I looked in a lot of forums for all sorts of fixes for 100 disk usage and finally I shut off the Windows Firewall and wow... what a change! I then turned on just the firewall for my private network and not the public - guest side and all is well. I had messed with the page file size and indexing and everything people talked about and the Firewall was the culprit. Yes... all computers are different. I use a Verizon USB broadband device for internet. I hope this helps someone.
