Hi,
I'm using Win 7 (32 bit) with the MS arc Touch mouse software and drivers installed. Running on HP TX2 Touchsmart Tablet.
I'm facing a problem with my mouse with regards to the scroll function.
After "switching on" the mouse, there is a green led light and everything seems to work. The green LED then disappears, presumably to save battery.
However, after a short period of time, the scroll function will not work at all. There is no scroll "feedback" felt from the scroll strip either. But when I flatten the mouse and turn it back on again, everything works as per normal.
But after some time, the same problem resurfaces. Then, I have to turn the mouse off and back on again. Sometimes, the scroll function "turns" itself back on automatically. But most of the time, it just stops working altogether.
This is very irritating. It seems nobody else have encountered this issue.

I do not have the arc mouse. The model #1741 and is running on a Surface Pro and using Windows 10. My scroll wheel is running free with no clicking. This happened after 1 year of use. I had no problems previously. I find it hard to believe this would be related to a software problem or a driver problem. Any ideas here?
This is a problem that has occurred since the ArcMouse was released and years later it still occurs! This appears to be that same old Microsoft crap that they used to release and not fix. Really the only solution that I've found is to get a Logitech mouse! It always works exactly as expected even when you load the additional software that amps up your mouse with useful additional functionality!
If this ever gets resolved I would like to be informed please. I have the Microsoft Explorer Touch mouse with the same issue. Sometimes the touch strip even starts scrolling the other way and does random things...other times it just dies completely (whilst the rest of the mouse functions fine).

I think by this point it's an accepted design flaw, people find workarounds that maybe last for a while then reverts.
You've obviously bought the latest design - being it's the same issue means it's probably never gonna be fixed. My last one only stops working occasionally, a quick flatten and open resolves it for a few hours, I've learned to live with it and still love it, it goes well with the Surface pro - hey, I'm shallow... (do wish it came with forward / back buttons tho' - for £75!).
