Arc Touch Mouse Scroll stops working

Hi,

I'm using Win 7 (32 bit) with the MS arc Touch mouse software and drivers installed. Running on HP TX2 Touchsmart Tablet.

I'm facing a problem with my mouse with regards to the scroll function.

After "switching on" the mouse, there is a green led light and everything seems to work. The green LED then disappears, presumably to save battery.

However, after a short period of time, the scroll function will not work at all. There is no scroll "feedback" felt from the scroll strip either. But when I flatten the mouse and turn it back on again, everything works as per normal.

But after some time, the same problem resurfaces. Then, I have to turn the mouse off and back on again. Sometimes, the scroll function "turns" itself back on automatically. But most of the time, it just stops working altogether.

This is very irritating. It seems nobody else have encountered this issue.

Please help!!

    Am having the same problems. Scroll doesn't work as expected. Am having latest drivers for Win 7 64-bit.

    Just got one of these and thought it was pretty nifty .. until not even 4 days later it starts scrolling allover the place.

    Exactly the same symptoms :

    • Turn it on, it works fine for 5 - 10 minutes
    • After that it only scrolls one direction, and often just scrolls randomely around
    • Turning it off and on again fixes it for another 5 - 10 minutes, or you can go to in the Mouse settings and turn off the scrolling function.

    Mine had a neat little secondary 'fail' in that the feedback started going off randomely.

    Had no idea where this weird 'ticking' noise was coming from.

    Am currently charging up some NiMH batteries to see if that'll resolve the issue.

    Shame really, 'cause the mouse is a great idea .. just a 'made of fail' implementation, and considering it's a premium product it doesn't really fill you full of faith for other high end MS kit.

    MS's cheap stuff always works great, so 'sucks to be me' for thinking their premium products would be better.

    I am having this same issue. It seems to happen constantly and the mouse is brand new.
