Hi Azeez N,
I gave up waiting for a response from MS and returned my Arc Mouse to the store for an exhange. The new one I received works perfectly! Maybe MS should advise to return the mouse for exchange for a new one, rather than referring people to the troubleshooting page...
Arc Touch Mouse Scroll stops working
Hi,
I'm using Win 7 (32 bit) with the MS arc Touch mouse software and drivers installed. Running on HP TX2 Touchsmart Tablet.
I'm facing a problem with my mouse with regards to the scroll function.
After "switching on" the mouse, there is a green led light and everything seems to work. The green LED then disappears, presumably to save battery.
However, after a short period of time, the scroll function will not work at all. There is no scroll "feedback" felt from the scroll strip either. But when I flatten the mouse and turn it back on again, everything works as per normal.
But after some time, the same problem resurfaces. Then, I have to turn the mouse off and back on again. Sometimes, the scroll function "turns" itself back on automatically. But most of the time, it just stops working altogether.
This is very irritating. It seems nobody else have encountered this issue.
Please help!!

2017-07-07T14:56:25+00:00 Hi All,
Yesterday, I picked up a new (2017, just released in July) Surface Arc Touch mouse. In the few hours that I've used it with my SP4 thus far, I haven't had any problems. I wouldn't feel confident suggesting that others buy one yet without months of testing by a large number of users, but I'm guardedly optimistic that we might now finally have an arc mouse that actually works.
Does anyone else have one, and if so, what have your experiences been so far?
Thanks,
Steve

2017-06-13T05:09:14+00:00 Hi Tony,
thanks for the suggestion - however,
- Here in Australia the warranty is 12 months and the mouse is now 17 months old.
- MS has a free call number, but their help service is redirected to Singapore and costs per call or is subscription based. They don't have a 'complaint line'.
- The official MS store will only take deal with complaints if the item was bought there, not if it was bought at another retailer.
Looks like I'll approach the retailer and see what they are willing to do.

2017-06-08T04:24:08+00:00 Another new 'club member' here. I bought the Surface mouse in January 2016 so it's out of warranty and it's only been recently that it has been dropping the scroll function. It's now happening enough that I went looking and found the thing is famous for this issue.
The 'turn it off and turn it on again' thing is simple enough but is a real interruption in work flow.

2017-05-08T17:54:42+00:00 This mouse is garbage. They should just drop the touch mouse wheel feature and replace with mechanical wheel while still conforming to the same slim footprint with foldability.
MS- ditch the touch mouse wheel, please! IT IS GARBAGE!
