System Restore does not work and returns the following error 0x80070005:__

"System Restore did not complete successfully, Your computer's files and settings were not changed.

Details;

System Restore could not access a file. This is probably because an anti-virus program is running on the computer . Temporally disable your antivirus program and retry System Restore.

An unspecified error occurred during System Restore, (0x80070005)"

I have turned off my Zone Alarm Extreme Security software, but I get exactly the same answer.

Unfortunately the message does not tell me which file(s) are causing the problem and the error message is so vague I can't try to resolve the issue.

Firstly, I’d suggest you to uninstall the antivirus program and try to perform a system restore and check if that fixes the issue.

If the above steps do not help, try doing a system restore from safe mode and check if that works fine.

    Hi,

    It was perfectly creating restore points and restroring to those points previously while all those untivirus and zonealarm staff loaded. (avira + zonealarm +windows defender).

    But after the format and  reinstalling the system image back to solid state drive from the orijinal image back-up (SeagateDiskwizard), this message of Access is denied has stuck with system restore point create and restore.
