How do I add search filters?

When trying to search I click in the search field in my file explorer window. I see "Add a search filter" and a couple options below that "Date Modified" &  "Size" that I can select. How do I add more "clickable" search filters? I can only select those two filters. How do I add more to select?

Hello and thank you for your question.

In the explorer search window, you can click on those options you mentioned like “Date Modified” or “Size” to give you a list of even more refined options. For example, if you are in your music folder:

Without clearing the Search box, click Genre in the list of filters, and then click Jazz from the list of dynamic values. Windows Explorer adds Genre to the existing Length filter, allowing you to refine your search further.

    No! It does not help! How do you set a date range? Why don't you continue reading the thread so you can see how many people are complaining about the same problem?

    The new search feature is absolute garbage! How do you select a date range that you want to search? and why do you run away from the thread once you get 100 people complaining about the same ____?

    I agree with Innomen.  Why take out search functionality from version to version and call it an upgrade.

    Boggles the mind.

    If each person posting here represents at least 10K other users, I think we are a significant sized group to pay attention to.  I pick that number because I see the same questions raised on many other Windows 7 forums, boards and help sites.  The askers and commenters are all different. 

    I made the mistake of thinking the official help site hosted by Microsoft would have solid, useful answers.  Instead we get marketing spin about why the unuseful functionality that exists is so cool.
