Old title: Windows Media Player giving wrong info....
I try to rip my music CDs to Windows Media Player but my recent new albums it gives me the wrong album info why is this? any clues.

It's possible that WMP incorrectly identifies a CD as another album. To fix this, look up the album info manually: right-click one of the tracks, select Find album info , search for the correct album, and follow the remaining steps of the wizard.

If you go to the All Music Guide database (which is used by WMP), and the information there is incorrect as well, you should be able to correct it there.
Also, if you make corrections through Find Album Info, that information might be used to correct the database in the future.
Ok, what about when the database getting the information is wrong? How can we get that corrected? The info on the CD is somehow not getting the correct info to the database or the database does not have it and it just gets the next closest thing.
The database on iTunes has the correct info.

Method 1.
By default, when you rip a CD and are connected to the Internet, the Player is configured to automatically retrieve album art and other related media information. If you have changed your privacy settings, you might be prompted to change them back when you click the Find Album Info button. To change your privacy settings back to the default values, do the following and then check if this resolves the issue:
a. On the Tools menu, click Options.
If the Tools menu is not visible, right-click the Windows Media Player title bar, and then click Options.
b. In the Options dialog box, click the Privacy tab, and then select the Update music files by retrieving media info from the Internet check box.

Method 2.
If the above steps do not help you may need to rebuild the Windows Media player database.
Here is how:
To resolve this problem, clear the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:
a. Exit Windows Media Player.
b. Click Start, click Run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.
c. Select all the files in the folder, and then click Delete on the File menu.
Note: You do not have to delete the folders that are in this folder.
d. Restart Windows Media Player.
Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

Sorry that did not help i tried both methods, hmm strange as it happened to another of my CDs.... i guess the "Find album info" search isn't actually listed with every album.
