My taskbar keeps disappearing randomly and will not come back until I restart. Once I restart the taskbar comes back and then disappears again. I have looked at the other solutions from people having similar problems and the solutions do not work.

open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del, click Task Manager)
Click on File>New Task (Run) and enter "explorer.exe" (without the quotes)
Then click OK.
Does it come back?

Ok, so I am on a new machine and having this same issue.
I have tried everything mentioned above and NOTHING brings it back.
I have 3-27" monitors and wonder if that setup has something to do with it.
If I was to go into my taskbar settings right now, I have Auto-hide off and the taskbar is locked to the TOP, but can't see it. Yesterday I could see the Windows button and that was it.
If I change the location of the taskbar, it takes it, but doesn't apply it.
If I exit out of the settings and come back in, it's back to a default of TOP.
I do not have any screen savers, Windows or 3rd party.
Anybody have a REAL fix for this????

Thanks very much, DivityaBansal. These details are helpful and easily understood, even though I haven't had this problem much in the last 2 ½ years.
If the taskbar disappears, a quick restart of explorer.exe will bring it back. Create a batch file on your desktop that kills the explorer.exe task and then restarts it. Here's how to create the .bat file..
Code:
taskkill /F /IM explorer.exe
start explorer.exe
That's it. Whenever your taskbar disappears, simply double-click on that file.
If you're not sure how to save a file as bat, in Notepad, Click File -> Save As. Change the "Save as type:" to "All Files (*.*)", then name your file what you would like adding .bat to the name.
Click Save and you're done.

I am another frustrated user having the same problem with the disappearing act of the pop-up task bar.
The task bar, which I believe everyone is referring to here is the one that can be set to auto hide and its default placement is at the bottom of the screen (which I have placed to the side of the screen) and contains the windows start icon along with the various other icons that that are running such as explorer, word, and other program icons etc) doesn't always appear when I hover the mouse over the area it normally pops out from..
The bar seems to stop working and disappears at random intervals or occasions.
The only way I have found to make it re-appear is to re-start the computer. However, I am using the latest TOSHIBA Dyna dock and running with two screens. I have found it only occurs during dual screen mode, and not when laptop is being used solely.
If anyone in Microsoft is out there please help us out.
