MS Edge Version: 114.0.1823.37
For some reason, I no longer have the Web Select option in the right-click context menu. I still have Web Capture, but Web Select is no longer there. Did MS remove this feature, or is it a bug?

i realize MS is a giant company and doesn't care about one person
but the removal of this feature made me actually angry because it was so helpful to my workflow.
and this is coming from someone who foolishly defended Windows Phone back in the day.
such a bizarre and shameful decision to take away a feature already developed and clearly serving a lot of people.
Hi everybody, with a good news!
I found a workaround to the issue in question, by adding the extension Copycat on Google Chrome (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/copycat/jdjbiojkklnaeoanimopafmnmhldejbg)
Once installed, you can select a test, right-click and select Copycat / Selection -> Plain text and the pasting it wherever you need to.
It's working for me now. Hope it will be a good solution for you all as well :)
For the EDGE team, we're still hoping you'll solve the problem and make web select available for all versions again.
Yeah, their excuse of it being about "bloat" doesn't make much sense.
If it is to lighten features, why not make them configurable so those who want them can have them, and those that don't, don't. Pretty simple to my mind. The code etc is already there, so that doesn't impact the look or feel.
Similar to the removal of the grammar tools in Immersive Reader. No consultation, no warning, just gone. Those of us who actually use these features don't seem to rate in MS viewpoint. Good thing Chrome has extensions that do that. As a trainer in education that pushed those features and that browser, I won't be anymore.
That is so weird. It seems like we have the same version already.
