Troubleshooting browser crashes or performance issues on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
As title says, my Windows behave strangely every now and then. When browsing, it may freeze for a minute or so follow by making I can't open everything. If I'm lucky enough, this issue last for 2 hours, if not, I need to restart the PC. Photo below tells
it all.

Apologies, it looks like the triage team combined this with another item before the team was able to take a look! Do you mind submitting again and sharing the link immediately?
Thanks!

Thanks for submitting! Could you please provide a link to the feedback item so I can pass it directly to the performance team?
Done, let's see what you can do with the info your got. Thanks.
Hi kyheng,
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this freezing and slowness, I understand how frustrating it can be when programs don't perform as expected. The performance team would like to take a closer look at this issue and dig in to what may be happening. Because this is impacting programs outside of Microsoft Edge, the team will need more information to investigate.
If you could open the Windows Feedback App and provide feedback on this, we can dig in to what's happening. On step 1, please include 'This feedback was requested by the Edge Performance team' in your feedback description. On step 2, for the category select 'Network and Internet' > 'All other issues'. For step 3, please create this as new feedback. Finally, on step 4 please select 'recreate my problem', confirm that both boxes are checked to include additional information, and demonstrate the steps that are causing the slowness. I know this may be difficult to capture as it happens over several hours, but capturing the freezing from Edge and the inability to interact within the File Explorer after should be all we need to get started!
Earlier in the thread you mentioned you've disabled CacheTask and performance improved somewhat, if you don't mind re-enabling that for the recording it would help.
Finally, if you could share a link to your new feedback item here in the thread, I'll get it to the performance team to get started.
Thanks for your report, and for any assistance you're able to provide pinpointing this issue! Please let me know if you have any questions.
