Hello Eddie-
Could you perhaps, give me a rundown of the hardware requirements for staying on the beta insider track for windows 11. I am curious what kind of machine you guys are requiring if mine is not good enough to qualify. This workstation is near state of the art (I thought it was at least). If things work out and I can get my hands on a actual rtx 3090 this summer (who knows) it will be off the scale. I imagine the video card being six months old is not the issue though, is it? This machine is strong enough for every high-end production task I use it for. Visual Studio has no problems, UE4, Maya, the Reallusion tooling, on and on. I do a lot of 3d graphics stuff and a lot of software development and well... I know my rig is near state of the art so, what could Windows 11 be doing that somehow my machine is not strong enough to move to it? If that is indeed the case, then Windows 11 is gonna have a very hard time working for 99% of the remaining (normal) users of windows on the planet. I apologize for the bit of cynical tone , its not that, I am actually bemused more than anything. Can you say what the hardware requirements are? I am curious. I kind feel like (after reading about others users experiences with this issue) that perhaps some machines got into this category mistakenly. Perhaps the mechanism you guys are using to determine this is not getting it right. I was not aware that my machine had even been evaluated. I'm not for example able to give Microsoft all the telemetry it seems to want (back in the day we all got along perfectly well without such information didn't we ... but thats another topic). The reason for this is simple I am under NDA with clients and can't let , even Microsoft have full access to my workstation. Perhaps not having this full range of telemetry caused this machine to be defaulted into the not qualified category ( quite truthfully, I am not sure but ... we not getting access to windows 11? I don't have time to dig into what the full issue is at the moment, but I did see something about going back to a clean install of windows 10. I don't think I am gonna want to rebuild everything from scratch. Its been very stable on the beta track. Don't want to go backwards, only forward, you understand I am sure. So, beyond that, what are the hardware issues in question? What are our options if we do get stuck in this rather problematic situation? For my part, I will do whatever I need to do to keep this rig at minimum where it is, as far as the OS goes. I can not let it fall back to some earlier version of Windows 10. I don't mean to appear difficult, I just am not in the position to destabilize this workstation like that. So far on the Insider track its been fantastic, not a single problem, for long time, this machine is super stable. Forgive me for being a bit concerned, I do apologize, and hope you understand. I do appreciate you guys at Microsoft. I don't know where I'd be without all the hard work you guys do.
