For users who are receiving the following message in your Windows Insider Settings:
Your PC does not meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11. Your device may continue to receive Insider Preview builds until Windows 11 is generally available, at which time it is recommended to clean install to Windows 10.
We've made an update to Settings to resolve some issues. Please reboot your device to ensure you have the latest update.

Hi so I have a Lenovo and I am not sure how to get the windows 11 update my laptop says this

So it says that and I really want the Windows 11 so what should I do?
All modern motherboards have TPM. In windows, run tpm.msc
Yes, all modern motherboards have TPM. How implemented is a different issue. It's easier to resolve on a Laptop as the design assumes that the user will not take it apart the way a PC builder does. Processors in a laptop are soldered in and not swappable like a PC.
In the case of my PC (Rampage V and Rampage V edition 10 ) the TPM sockets exist on the motherboard but the software in Bios does not give you access to a PTT without one if it exists at all. For many X99 motherboard users you have to actually install a physical TPM module in order to see any options appear in Bios. ASUS does mention a PCH-... listing to look for this. Am guessing I would find it if I had a Rampage VI motherboard which is X299 series chipset.
So, whether this was required in the past or not the implementation prior to now has not been very consistent. I don't see Intel coming to the rescue here with a downloadable PTT application or the motherboard manufacturers offering Bios implementations to reveal any built in PTT or TPM if they exist. Microsoft may have 'tried' to get this done over time and the implementers did not give it the attention it needed. So, in the end, Microsoft ends up drawing a line in the sand and builders and users are upset that they have no way to adjust what they have to comply. Wonder how many companies will lose their steady customers over this .
Okay. I have to ask. Why isn't this thread organized more like a message board? This isn't a small topic. It's entirely new operating system with a ton of unique problems that are going to need to be resolved. This Thread is already becoming ugly to navigate.
Sad to hear you are disappointed with the new Windows. Sometimes the wheels of a company don't turn fast enough for some. Large corporations like Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon are like large ships. They don't turn on a dime. Often when there are requirements pushed out like these there is a problem they are trying to solve. If we know more about it we can also help. And just like the big companies, the general public is sometimes slow to adopt some solutions designed to solve a problem , like security. Even if it is an important practice, how many people you know will do a backup or save their important data only on the one device they use ? Can they afford their equipment to quit or for a cyber attack to cause them other kinds of harm ?
Do you have a solution for this ? Am certain Microsoft would like to hear it.
I have not deleted the windows 10 files from the system, can I just roll back after general release of window 11 rather than clean installing windows 10.
No, because that folder is deleted after 10 days.
