Why has MicroSoft Rewards daily points gone down to 195 daily instead of 210?

I don't know if I'm missing out on something because I'm level 2 and my daily total points has decreased from 210 to 195 due to the activities.

To summarise, it's because they've done the following:

    • Limited search points to just 9 per 15 minutes so you can't do all your searches at once
    • Closed the Xbox rewards app, which further means you can't auto redeem £5 gift cards for 5435 instead of the usual 5935
    • Reduced daily tasks from 10 to 5
    • Reduced bonus tasks from 10 to 2
    • Made it so you have to actually go out of your way to do the search quests, which doesn't even work most of the time
    • Removed the bonus for using Microsoft Edge

Personally they've been really sly with this; it doesn't take a lot of intelligence to know that the only reason people use Bing is for Microsoft Rewards

I've been using Bing myself for 4 years for this exact reason, but if it gets any worse it just seems pointless. I remember when I could get £5 a month from this scheme.

My Rewards has gone down, some rewards have dropped from 5 points to 2. Less than half! Giving it a few days to see if they switch back then time to grab my voucher and switch back to Chrome. Bing is a rubbish anyway. Only bothered using it for the points.

Same thing just happened to me, that's stingy as. It was already a slow af way to earn Amazon gift cards, but now it's just ridiculous. It would already take over a week just to earn a dollar! But now big corporation has decided they can't afford to give that much away, even though Bing generates over 12 billion in ads per year. They've really shot themselves in the foot though, as the only reason people even use Bing is to earn microsoft rewards points. I mean it's certainly not the place you go when you want to find what you're looking for, half the time you've gotta use the deep search to find what you're looking for. Back to only using google

iirc USA has always had higher points than everywhere else (250 for PC and phone searches maximum, vs. 150 here in Australia). This move will ensure that nobody outside of the USA can accrue enough points to do anything worthwhile... used to he able to pay for PCGP with points, not any more. Unless you have a console and do the points available there, and the Game Pass challenges on PC, it's becoming a pointless exercise.

Mine went down to 2 points. And not every search for information gets points.

I saved up for three years to buy a computer. After that it was harder to earn daily points.
