Surface Duo 2 Bluetooth Issues

When connected to a Bluetooth audio device like my car or Surface Ear Buds I have the following problem:

Connects properly without issues. Listen to music or Audible for a few minutes and the audio stops. The audio doesn't pause, the Bluetooth doesn't disconnect but the sound just stops.

Disconnecting Bluetooth in audio device and surfaceduo2 and restarting helps but the problem will repeat. Makes BT unusable.

Anyone else have this problem??

I have relayed the info to Microsoft that uninstalling Messages+ "fixes" the issue.

This makes sense. I'm also a tech guy so I get it. I'm just hoping it's not a hardware issue where some edge case because of where the chips are sitting in such a tightly engineered device results in interference... We shall see. I'm hopeful. The upgrade from SD1 to SD2 was pretty great. This is the only real issue I'm having with the SD2. Loving it other than this.

It's all very strange and frustrating. I also never had issues on SD1. I'm finding it doesn't disconnect much from my Sonos Roam speaker but it does cut out in the car and with my Surface buds. Really annoying. Someone from MSFT did reach out to me via this thread so they are definitely working on the problem. Hopefully an update soon!!!

Still happening too frequently. Both on the car and surface ear buds. Amazingly annoying. It doesn't make sense as only the audio drops but still connected via BT and can even Pause/Play using earbuds or car audio controls... it's as if the audio is muted or redirected to another output device...

    MSFT HELP!!!

The Dec 2021 update, Update 2021.923.272, did not fix my bluetooth issue which is exactly as described above.

I really hope this is fixed soon. It is most annoying not only when I'm listening to music, but when I'm using my bluetooth headphones during a Teams Meeting.
