I opened a support case with Microsoft today and they confirmed that this is a known issue and is being investigated to find the resolution. My thought is the issue came along with the Dec 2021 update. Hopefully a future update will resolve the issue. So.... We wait.
Surface Duo 2 Bluetooth Issues
When connected to a Bluetooth audio device like my car or Surface Ear Buds I have the following problem:
Connects properly without issues. Listen to music or Audible for a few minutes and the audio stops. The audio doesn't pause, the Bluetooth doesn't disconnect but the sound just stops.
Disconnecting Bluetooth in audio device and surfaceduo2 and restarting helps but the problem will repeat. Makes BT unusable.
Anyone else have this problem??

2022-02-10T17:58:30+00:00 I was just messing around, and did not do anything to the watch expecting I could re-install the plugin and just have re-connect...but nope had to wipe the watch.
I did just goto apps list and I removed the watch 4 plugin only did not touch the wearable app itself.
I just looked at my list and the name seems different now then before but dont recall exactly what is had prior, right now mine is listed as "Galaxy Watch4 Manager" I think prior it said Galaxy Watch4 Plugin"

2022-02-09T23:21:06+00:00 I am very curious about the Samsung Galaxy watch plug-in thing was it the wearables plugin that you removed I have a Samsung Galaxy 4 watch I noticed that my watch would always try to answer the calls first I would have to tap speaker or phone to get it to answer on the phone so what you discovered may fix my problem as well. Yesterday I happen to reset my watch because I couldn't get messages to come through it anymore but I did not remove the wearables app if that is the one you are talking about? Since I reset my watch most things are working much much better including my Surface buds and my car worked perfect today so you might be onto something

2022-02-09T22:33:25+00:00 Dave, I have the same Hardware Version as you and touch version.
But here is the weird thing I have cured my issue (Party!!)
So I know I asked this before and someone with this issue said they did not have any smart watch, but I had a Samsung Watch (well 2 of them actually), and Samsung has a "plugin" to allow features of the watch to integrate with your phone...this uses bluetooth for all of this comm.
I took a stab at just removing the plugin all together from my phone (previously I just turned off bluetooth on my watch for testing which did not sure the issue) somehow removing this plugin is what cured my issue, I was able to consistently reproduce this multiple times a day previously and has not happened once since doing this (fingers crossed).
The downside was my watch needed to be wiped and re-setup, but have not had issues since.
If you are someone that has this issue and has any device integrations with apps, maybe start with removing anything that talks via bluetooth and has a service that runs in the background....
