Late reply, but when tested on last Sunday, the update does not fix this problem.
Type Cover not Working but ...
My type cover does not work and I left my surface aside the battery drained. I put it in the socket and the type cover worked. What will it be?

2018-10-10T04:04:15+00:00 Yup. That some user found their "Documents" folder emptied after installed that update thing.
While lots of people think that OneDrive update deleted them, I also saw some users report that they can still access the "supposedly deleted" files via the "recent files" link of certain applications. This makes me think that maybe it's just the "media" folder item link becomes disconnected to actual location therefore showing the location as empty folder. (It works much like NTFS "mount points" that allows you mount another drive as folder - if the target is somehow inaccessible, it'll show as empty folder) Maybe the file is still there, and could be made reappear if the linkage is fixed and/or certain permission problem is fixed.
However the update is pulled before I have chance to install it, so cannot verify my guess.

2018-10-10T01:21:52+00:00 Saw this morning that we have a new driver update that contains firmware update, but I can only check and see if it can fix the issue after I go home.
