My type cover does not work and I left my surface aside the battery drained. I put it in the socket and the type cover worked. What will it be?

    Thanks.

Not your fault, but really not good from Microsoft on this. 3 years and a £900 piece of kit fails to do the most basic thing, without having done anything physical with it to instigate (it just sat on a shelf for a week after last using it, when it worked fine).

One very very unimpressed customer here. Really wanted to be impressed with this, and was whilst it worked, but won't consider touching the surface line again if this is how MS are going to support it.

I striked a lottery too. My type cover suddenly decided not to work. I tried everything. Mine is a SP4, the only funny thing was I tried doing going into UEFI, my type cover lighted up. I didn't know if I'm suppose to be able to use it there but the keys didn't work. When I click restarted, my touch cover remained bricked.

I'm just replying to add voice to the masses so MS would fix this!

understood. there is NO fix for this.

    >Just to let you know though, it's not that the type cover itself is inoperable... it works fine on other Surface pro's (tested in shop), it's that my surface pro refuses to recognise any type cover that is attached (also tried in shop with different type cover).

    Ah ok, thanks.

Alex, you posted elsewhere that yours completely stopped working. I replied to

another customer that has INTERMITTENT problems which is a different issue.

There is no fix for this. Microsoft is not responding with a fix for totally

    inoperable SP3/SP4 typecovers.
