Type Cover not Working but ...

My type cover does not work and I left my surface aside the battery drained. I put it in the socket and the type cover worked. What will it be?

    My Type Cover works!

    Now I upgraded my Surface Pro 3 to Windows 10, Version 2004. Just to check once again, I reconnected its dead Type Cover, and surprise it was completely alive. It was that easy. Thank you very much whoever it was, for making a working upgrade.

    P.S. It could be worthwhile to inform owners of dead Type Covers that they might work again.

    Sadly even after the 2004 update my type cover still does not work on my pro 3. As with all the other people it works on other surface devices.

    I don't understand your use of the words "unloading" and "leave a few hours

    without calling".

    It seems like you are saying that if you completely drain the battery that the

    type cover works until you restart and the battery is charging.

    I know you have been posting about this in several threads and have started

    several threads, but this definitely sounds like a hardware problem.

    If this is the case, the ONLY thing you can do is contact support for an out of

    warranty exchange and if you are not in a country where the SP3 is/was

    officially sold, you will need to find someone in a supported country to handle

    all of this for you.

    Sorry, but this is the bottom line.

    The battery is functioning normal. My type cover does not work, but it only connects when I leave the Surface completely unloading. Besides letting it unload, I leave a few hours without calling. After all this, I'm going to turn on the type cover works.

    ie the type only connects when the battery is unloaded. But if the battery charge and I reboot or disconnect the surface no longer cares.
