Surface Pro 3 High CPU load when idle, high system cpu load

Has anyone else noticed that coming out of sleep or herniate results in unwarranted high cpu load from system interrupts?

I have all the latest firmware and updates loaded. But using sleep even sometimes a cold boot I get this issue.

How can I fix this please. Its killing my battery life.

Oh!! I just checked it again as I wanted to make a screenshot and now it's working! I don't know what changed. The only thing I did was that I originally enabled Hyper-V but when it started interfering with my WiFi connectivity I disabled it again, so maybe that's what was necessary.. I used to have constant high "System Interrupts" process running, but disabling one by one I found out that an Adobe startup process was causing it, so I disabled it and it seems to have fixed the issue. Either way, thanks for your responses!

Dear Clare,

No, this is not what I was asking. Please refer to the original question.

Perhaps you may have something running in the background.

My guess is Microsoft Id not aware of this yet. We need to give them visibility. So I would encourage **all** people to vote for this issue (all in the same one) in Windows Feedback app, so that it shows in their analytics. I guess they don't monitor these support forums very well. But they are very on top of the windows feedback app.

If they haven't addressed it yet, I don't know if they ever will, but I still like your idea, so I voted. If others want to vote on the same issue, I searched on "system interrupts" in the Windows Feedback app. There are many that come up, but I didn't I find any specific to Surface 3, so I chose the one that had the most votes (currently 20), that starts "System and compressed memory and system interrupts are running high cpu usage", and then added information about Surface Pro 3 and referenced this thread in the upvote comment.  Pasting this link into Edge brings up the issue, at least for me:

    Windows-Feedback:?contextid=79&feedbackid=1f636296-f268-4b87-ad29-dd5fd4ab3079&form=1&src=2

My behavior is slightly different than others here. But it definitely seems related to sound and docking. When I come out of hibernation I'll have the symptoms, but only if I had played music previously. Lately, I've noticed it happening even when starting up after a shutdown. Playing a sound or more music doesn't help as it does for others here. The only way to fix it for me is to undock/redock, or reboot. Seems there might be some relation to my Logitech USB receiver for a wireless headset. When I removed it, CPU went to normal, then put it back, it went back up. I thought that was going to solve it for me, but it was only just for that session. I no longer use the receiver and use Bluetooth instead. Still happens every time after playing music.

To add to the previous post, I should have mentioned that my dock was causing another problem....

My 5 month old SP3 512gb i7 would get stuck on the surface boot up screen.  In order for it to boot up the next time without getting stuck on the surface bootup screen, I have to undock it before I shutdown, then shut down.  So, for me, I MUST undock before shutting down to prevent the problem on the next startup.  Doesn't make any sense to me but it works.  I have done this everyday this week and it has worked every time I have started up...undock then shutdown.

To summarize....everything works fine as long as I don't boot up or shut down with the dock engaged.
