I believe I can state my case as I see fit. I do not personally care at this point. I have had microsoft techs tell me I could download 10, and others tell me I could not. Several did not have a clue what 8.1 RT was. How can anyone defend this. Basically I will stay off of this site, as it appears to be inhabited by Microsoft addicts. Enjoy, I will be Microsoft free shortly. I find it interesting that users going through this madness are not as aggravated as I am. Maybe if more users quit ignoring the downfalls, microsoft may improve, but I doubt it. Microsoft.......take the money and run. Unfortunately you don't seem to get it.
Can't login to Microsoft Account/Reset Surface RT and can't sign in to Microsoft account/Can't connect to Microsoft Services
I have reset my Surface RT before. Being an IT professional, I have installed Windows 7/8/10 multiple times. Just reset my Surface RT to default settings. I am trying to set it up for my daughter. She has a hotmail account already (uses it on our other computers). When I try to sign her in when setting up Windows after the hard reset I get an error that it can't connect to Microsoft Services and i should check my network settings. I created a local account thinking it must be something during setup. I tried again via the Store app and I receive the same error. I have an internet connection so.... That's not the problem. It is clearly something on Microsoft's end. Creating a new account isn't an option as she is using her current account on our home PC and needs to utilize OneDrive. Is there an image that has Surface RT Update 3?

2017-10-09T02:37:37+00:00 Sorry if I came across the wrong way. In our household we have 3 PCs on Windows and 1 Surface + 1 Apple Powerbook and an iPad. Plus two iPhones. So, obviously, like everyone, I also have an opinion about APPLE vs MICROSOFT but I just don't think a comment thread about Surface login issues is the place to discuss the pros and cons of the two. You could always start your own thread around that topic if it's important to you.

2017-10-09T00:51:14+00:00 Can I just request that forum comments stay on topic. We will end-up going on forever if we start down this road of which is better APPLE or MICROSOFT.

You don't like hearing the truth about a company that A) cannot support its product, and B) has a support staff that does not understand the issue at hand. I truly hope you continue your good fortune with Ms. You deserve each other.

2017-10-09T00:19:42+00:00 It appears I'm not alone. Tried to reset my Surface to see if it would take care of the issue of my volume lowering on it's own. Got the reset finished but can't log on Microsoft online. So now I have two problems, as the reset didn't fix my original problem
either.
