Can't login to Microsoft Account/Reset Surface RT and can't sign in to Microsoft account/Can't connect to Microsoft Services

I have reset my Surface RT before. Being an IT professional, I have installed Windows 7/8/10 multiple times. Just reset my Surface RT to default settings. I am trying to set it up for my daughter. She has a hotmail account already (uses it on our other computers). When I try to sign her in when setting up Windows after the hard reset I get an error that it can't connect to Microsoft Services and i should check my network settings. I created a local account thinking it must be something during setup. I tried again via the Store app and I receive the same error. I have an internet connection so.... That's not the problem. It is clearly something on Microsoft's end. Creating a new account isn't an option as she is using her current account on our home PC and needs to utilize OneDrive. Is there an image that has Surface RT Update 3?

I have partially solved the problem. I logged into my Microsoft account via ie and then rebooted a couple of times. I can now access and purchase from, the store. I cannot, however, login to the device with my Microsoft account. The store though seems to work fine.

I have the same issue, unable to connect to Microsoft account services in any apps. However I am able to sign in using internet explorer on that very same device. My windows update also doesn't seem to work but no error code given. Really hope they fix this soon.

I think I will never buy any Microsoft "new" prototype hardwares anymore. I got abandoned as a Windows phone 7 and Windows mobile 10 user. The Microsoft band never came to my Country before it is discontinued. Now as a RT user I am betrayed by Microsoft again. And zune, groove, glass... all These are good products but Microsoft failed to market them and get a decent sale, and simply discontinue them saying we have tried. Their attitude is so irresponsible.

    Respect!

My opinion is, such errors should never ever happen. It seems to me that Microsoft just pulled the plug on Surface-RT devices on its Server side.

I hadn't used and updated my Surface RT for several months. As I just wanted to use it again last Weekend, it could not boot into Windows because of an error caused by bitlock. The code to unlock which I found in my Microsoft Account didn't do its Job. I had no choice but to reset my surface. Since then, I have the same Problem as everyone else in this thread.

So I don't think the Problem is on the device side, because my device had worked perfectly and didn't get any recent updates which could mess up the sign-in function.

I just replied to your prior post. If no one complains, nothing improves. You take care. I am done with this.
