Surface Pro 4 Jul 2017 Update - Type Cover not working

I updated the latest update Jul 2017 and it bricks my type cover completely. Tried everthing, from reset, volume + and power, everthing including cleaning etc.

I just do not understand. When I did Apr 2017 update, it also half bricked it, but at least using volume+ and power helps, but now totally unusable.

If anyone come across, this, please help.

    Hi,

The problem may occur when the Type Cover is not attached when you've tried to refresh your device or when you've tried installing some updates. We recommend that you perform some of the methods provided below:

Method 1: Follow the troubleshooting steps from our support article that can be found on this link.

Method 2: Make sure Filter Keys are turned off in your Ease of Access settings. To learn more, see Make your PC easier to use.

Method 3: Run the Surface Troubleshooter. The Troubleshooter can detect and fix problems with Surface Cover. To run the troubleshooter:

    1. Download and Open/Run http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9835470 The Open or Run button will appear at the bottom of your browser or in the View Downloads - Internet Explorer dialog box.
    2. On the Microsoft Surface - Troubleshoot and help prevent computer problems screen, tap or click Next.
    3. On the Microsoft Surface - Send diagnostic data to Microsoft screen, tap or click on Send diagnostic information to Microsoft.
    4. Tap or click Close the troubleshooter or Close. You may tap or choose one of the additional options instead of Close:
    • Explore additional options: This will take you to a generic Windows troubleshooting page that does not contain any additional Surface troubleshooters.
    • View Detailed Information: There are no additional troubleshooting steps at this time for errors listed in the Microsoft Surface Troubleshooting report.
    • On the Microsoft Surface - Troubleshooting report screen, tap or click Next to return to the Microsoft Surface - Troubleshooting has completed screen or tap or click Cancel to close the Surface Troubleshooter.

Once you've tried the above methods, check to see if Surface Cover will start working again.

    This hasn't worked for me.

    Thanks

    Neil
