Surface Pro 4 Jul 2017 Update - Type Cover not working

I updated the latest update Jul 2017 and it bricks my type cover completely. Tried everthing, from reset, volume + and power, everthing including cleaning etc. 

I just do not understand. When I did Apr 2017 update, it also half bricked it, but at least using volume+ and power helps, but now totally unusable. 

If anyone come across, this, please help.

    Mine is running on RS2. Did an install per your instructions but still cannot work.

    Heard from my contact. He said

    Can you ask them what OS they are running?  14393(RS1) or 15063(RS2)

    If RS2 can you ask them to install

    If running RS2 install this, SurfacePro4_Win10_15063_1702001_0.msi

    you can try using a downloadable recovery image

    • to wipe everything and reinstall. if this fails to resolve the issue, then you

    do you know anyone with a SP3/4 or new Surface Pro 2017? can you test their

    keyboard on your SP4 and yours on theirs?

    I'm  having the same issue since the latest update. My type cover no longer works & I live no where near a MS store. I also tried everything to make it work again, nothing. I hope MS fix this soon! I have an alcatara signature type cover I now can't use!
