Surface Pro 4 Jul 2017 Update - Type Cover not working

I updated the latest update Jul 2017 and it bricks my type cover completely. Tried everthing, from reset, volume + and power, everthing including cleaning etc.

I just do not understand. When I did Apr 2017 update, it also half bricked it, but at least using volume+ and power helps, but now totally unusable.

If anyone come across, this, please help.

    Hi Johnny,

There will be an incoming update for Windows that can resolve your concern with your keyboard. Generally, cumulative updates are released every second Tuesday of the month. For the meantime, you can run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit to check for possible software issues.

We'll keep an eye out for your response.

    Regards.

I have been at my wits end for several months with my Type Covers not working issues, to the point of having to rely on a poor 3rd party BT knock off. I ran the Diagnostic Toolkit again after seeing this message, not expecting anything but lo and behold here I am typing on my TC4 without issues.

I'm still sceptical that it a) was or what fixed it or b) that it will last but one can only hope.

Fingers crossed the upcoming update will resolve all issues for good.

Spoke too soon. Nearly got through the whole day but eventually USB not recognised error popped up again and I'm back to square one. So frustrating....

No problem with surface pro 4 so far ( fingers crossed), current problem is with my 2 year old surface pro 3, i have tested my suspected type cover with someone else's SP pro 3 and 4, no problem with type cover.

Microsoft help suggested buy another one, it will be long before i spend another cent on any more Microsoft hardware.

I have tried to connect my brand new type cover to different surface pro tablet, no problem connecting to that, something is wrong with my surface pro 3.

It is outside warranty now, surprisingly nothing much happened when it was in warranty.

    I hope some can help
