Surface Pro 4 Jul 2017 Update - Type Cover not working

I updated the latest update Jul 2017 and it bricks my type cover completely. Tried everthing, from reset, volume + and power, everthing including cleaning etc.

I just do not understand. When I did Apr 2017 update, it also half bricked it, but at least using volume+ and power helps, but now totally unusable.

If anyone come across, this, please help.

I have the same issue, no troubleshooting guide that Microsoft has solves anything. And their help desk just wants me to pay because i'm out of warranty. I love the surface, but this makes me never want a surface device again. How have they not patched a fix for this, it seems that many people have this issue. It cant just be a coincidence. My keyboard works on other devices, but no keyboard works on mine. I have only used it as a desktop with the dock and never dropped or mishandled it.

I have the sp4 already cleaned the ports, did the 2 button power cycle, reinstalled the drivers, verified windows was updated, and factory reset my device

    > I did send an email, but I don't think there is a solution. Are you still able to roll back from the Fall Creators Update? If yes, if you try that, do these problems still exist? Support will ask you to reimage from a downloadable recovery image to see if these issues are still present if that fails. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surfacerecoveryimage

    >It's up to you if you want to try the complete reimage. It has not helped the folks with SP3 type cover problems like yours.
