It is worth noting that in the event viewer I had a problem with Bluetooth which I think is part of the problem. The message I'm getting is 'the local Bluetooth adapter has filled in an undetermined manner and will not be used. The driver has been unloaded'.
Quite why it is taking Microsoft so long to sort the problem is beyond me. There are so many of us with the same issue surely they can find out what the problem is with. Resetting might be a short-term fix but ultimately there is an issue with the driver
or the firmware and so it will probably come back on everyone's device at some point.
Is anybody installed any software immediately prior to this happening? Mine was fine yesterday for ages.
Just before the issue happened I do have some messages in the event viewer including the following:
The trusted platform module (TPM) firmware on this PC has a known security problem. Please contact your PC manufacturer to find out if an update is available.
Because my PC is a fresh install, I'm getting lots and lots of things happening at the same time which is potentially clouding the issue and preventing me from pinpointing exactly what happened at the time when the problem came back.
Like I say, so far this morning it has been fine.
