Surface Pro 4 Jul 2017 Update - Type Cover not working

I updated the latest update Jul 2017 and it bricks my type cover completely. Tried everthing, from reset, volume + and power, everthing including cleaning etc.

I just do not understand. When I did Apr 2017 update, it also half bricked it, but at least using volume+ and power helps, but now totally unusable.

If anyone come across, this, please help.

Doesn't work for me either. Having mine replaced. How can a software update completely ruin the machine? Sigh!

I downloaded the new updates that you recommended and my keyboard cover still doesn't work ... and I wasted another 45 minutes on this problem.

After installing the new update, the driver shown in Device Manager on Keyboards becomes Surface Pen Click Filter. The type cover still does not work.

your issue is different than those who can't get it to work at all. the first

thing to do is to try cleaning the contacts.

    >>If I remove the Typecover and reconnect it (perhaps also if I restart the pc) it becomes responsive again; but it always freezes again after a while.
