Surface Pro 4 Jul 2017 Update - Type Cover not working

I updated the latest update Jul 2017 and it bricks my type cover completely. Tried everthing, from reset, volume + and power, everthing including cleaning etc.

I just do not understand. When I did Apr 2017 update, it also half bricked it, but at least using volume+ and power helps, but now totally unusable.

If anyone come across, this, please help.

I do trust that your surface work.

I will wait until more people said it works. Trust me, I tried the whole night. Yes, I think I am very unlucky. Could be some subtle differences between units

Load the update, do what you said several times, still dies not work. Uninstall and install again, did what you said about power and volume +, many times, but still won't work.

Looks like no one can repeat what you did to make it works. Did you do something else or change something other that the updates

Check windows update on your pc. This update fixed my type cover issue. My surface pro 4 now knows there's a type cover attached to it.

You might have to do the power button & + volume button thing. It didn't work for me either when I first updated. Then it did when i tried that one last time! Then it restarted and my type cover lit up full of life! That update fixed it!
