Amazing the same day that my stopped working.
That's crazy, right!? My surface pro 4 and type cover worked perfectly fine together on that Friday 7/21. The next day Saturday morning...dead. Had me distraught.

I updated the latest update Jul 2017 and it bricks my type cover completely. Tried everthing, from reset, volume + and power, everthing including cleaning etc.
I just do not understand. When I did Apr 2017 update, it also half bricked it, but at least using volume+ and power helps, but now totally unusable.
If anyone come across, this, please help.

I will wait until more people said it works. Trust me, I tried the whole night. Yes, I think I am very unlucky. Could be some subtle differences between units
Maybe, but don't give up! Just like you I've been all night everyday since 7/22 trying to figure this thing out & hoping MS will realize something went wrong their updates & fix it. I was all over the internet reading articles searching for help even harassing MS on twitter. But, I'm sure this newest update is a fix.
