Surface Pro 4 Jul 2017 Update - Type Cover not working

I updated the latest update Jul 2017 and it bricks my type cover completely. Tried everthing, from reset, volume + and power, everthing including cleaning etc. 

I just do not understand. When I did Apr 2017 update, it also half bricked it, but at least using volume+ and power helps, but now totally unusable. 

If anyone come across, this, please help.

    I had an exended warranty on my Surface so finally took the trouble to contact the insurers and have it taken away for 'repair'.  (I bought a cheap but effective laptop in the meantime to keep us going).

    The repair company obtained a new typecover from Microsoft and returned the Surface today.  At the moment all is working fine - I've been using it for the last hour.  But I'm not holding my breath, and will still never buy a Microsoft computer again.

    I'm not a magician. I can't FORCE Microsoft to respond to the emails I send

    DAILY on this issue, nor do I personally have a way to fix the issue. I'm a

    volunteer. I'm on YOUR side. All I CAN offer to people that want a quick fix is

    the possibility of an exchange. That sux, I know. Don't you think that if I had

    a better option that I would offer it to the community?

    Surface has a history of NOT responding to issues until they have a root cause

    and possibly a fix. It is a PR driven thing.

    You have no idea of how hard I've fought for fixes and acknowledgement of

    various issues in the Surface line.

    I have the same problem, installed the update on Saturday and now cannot get my cover to work at all.
