Surface Pro 4 Jul 2017 Update - Type Cover not working

I updated the latest update Jul 2017 and it bricks my type cover completely. Tried everthing, from reset, volume + and power, everthing including cleaning etc.

I just do not understand. When I did Apr 2017 update, it also half bricked it, but at least using volume+ and power helps, but now totally unusable.

If anyone come across, this, please help.

    answer desk is crab....

we sll out of warrantty but problem came from update .why we need to pay money for microsoft mistake whyyyyyyy

Exactly im just trying to point out that MS support is a closed loop. Hoping some users will luckily find a way

Maybe all of us with the same problem can find ourselves a good lawyer and make ourselves heard.....technical support of microsoft doesn't seem to be working, let's see if their legal is upto the task.

I'm in Brazil, I have to do something. You think my keyboard doesn't work because it has nothing to do with the battery. My battery doesn't last 2 hours.

There are hundreds of people reporting this issue in this forum and hundreds

    other elsewhere like Reddit, etc.

I'd find it hard to believe that this many connectors on the tablet have gone

bad. But anything is possible. Until such time, if and when Microsoft decides to

make an official statement, all we can do is guess.

    >In your opinion, do you think it's a software issue then?

Cumulative updates do not contain Surface specific firmware or drivers, they only have Windows fixes. Are you saying that this is not a Surface issue and that it is a Windows issue? Also, Surface updates are not normally released on Patch Tuesdays on a strict schedule. They seem to be released whenever they are ready.

As Erwin Nga mentioned in his reply, this problem will be fix through a cumulative updates.
