Surface Book 2 battery drain whilst off

I also have bought the SB2 15 in about a month ago and have noticed that the battery drains around 2-3% overnight after I shutdown my laptop completely.

I have disabled all the features like csenable to 0 in regedit, and disabled fast startup etc. I even tried the leaving the laptop open at night to no avail. I have contacted microsoft regarding this issue and they offered me a replacement device, which I accepted.

The bad news is that the replacement device suffers from the same problem. I have read so many threads at the moment with the same problem and without a solution, and also read about many people having the same problem with every replacement device they got. 

So from my experience, the problem wasn't solved through a replacement device. Now the real question is: "is there any SB2 that doesn't suffer from this issue?!?! I would like to know if it's a design problem or if a high percentage of these laptops suffer from this problem"

The problem with the laptop draining so much battery when off is that it cycles through the battery much faster even when not in use. I used to discharge my laptops to 50% and then store them away if I knew I wouldn't use them for a while. The battery drainage issue makes this impossible since the battery will discharge to 0% if left for a couple of weeks.

Is there ANY official reply from MS saying that this is a design issue?

No, there’s no update. Ive been asking since I bought the SB2. It’s just the “design” of a flawed product. Microsoft will pretend like it’s the first they’ve heard of it if you ask them. They’ll offer “solutions” like “make sure you’re switching it off properly” then ignore you after a while. 

A shame really as it would be a decent laptop otherwise. But I will never buy another Microsoft product again.

If this issue has been going on since the first generation of Surface PCs, in addition to "disappointed", I would add "depressing".

Yes, this is an old issue dated from the 1st gen of Surface PC. My Surface 4 and Surface Book 2 have exactly the same draining issue. 

For many years, Microsoft took no action or even explanation towards this dreadful issue, which, surprisingly, no other major brands suffer.

"Disappointed" is all I can say
