Surface Pro 3 does not connect to recent Samsung Series 7 TV

Hi,

my Surface Pro 1 does connect well with my Samsung Smart TV series 7. However, my new Samsung Pro 3 wont connect. It finds the TV and then tries to establish connection and asks to wait - maybe the TV should not popup a PIN code - but that never happens and the connection times out. Interestingly the Surface Pro 3 gets listed in the Samsung network device settings and is set to "allowed" for connection but the Surface Pro 3 still wont connect. Note i have deployed all latest updates on Samsung TV as well as Surface Pro 3.

I would appreciate to get this working again.

    Miracast is a STANDARD and as such, vendors have their products tested to earn

    the certified for... designation. AllShare, as you mention, isn't the same as

    Miracast. Some devices work ok with Samsung "AllShare" devices, some don't.

    Bottom line, if a device isn't Miracast certified, then there is no guarantee

    that it will work. It's the CERTIFICATION that is the key. They can call it

    whatever they want for marketing purposes, but without the official

    certification, it may not work.

    I just ran a search there, but no TV by Samsung is listed by model number as Miracast compatible. I think that is just a marketing ploy to promote "AllShare" as something proprietary and special. I don't believe there would be any samsung official page that uses the term"Miracast" for that reason, but that doesn't mean that it shouldn't work.

    Anyone made any headway on this?

    I went to http://www.wi-fi.org/certified-products-advanced-search to check if

    the TV was certified and ran an advanced search and it did not come up as

    Miracast certified. I also could not find a link to a product page. Can you

    provide a link showing it is Miracast certified?
