Battery Drains While Shutdown

I have read many posts and made many attempts to correct this problem without any success.

I was traveling for 3 months and when I returned the battery was completely dead.

Also, each night since my return, the battery drains as much as 12% overnight while shutdown.

I have all MS updates but the problem continues.

Please advise.

    I wonder how many of us hold senior IT positions with significant budget that goes with the job. I'll be having the last laugh and probably multiple times before I retire.

    Yes, sadly I would have to agree. We bought premium Microsoft hardware and after a few years are no longer properly supported. And probably something relatively trivial to tweak in the firmware to take it back to how it was before the problem appeared. I expected more from Microsoft than this! Very disappointed!

    The grand Microsoft made a  great progress in computer science-drainage of battery power even after a device was completely shut down.

    My surface pro4 would be my first and last Microsoft hardware product.

    Sorry, I don't have any other advice to offer - there are numerous threads where
    others have complained about this issue and Microsoft has not offered any real
    fix. Some are told to completely wipe and reset their SP4, but this does not
    provide a resolution as they return to report they still have the issue.

    AND STOP TELLING PEOPLE TO RESET/REIMAGE THEIR SURFACE - YOU HAVEN'T EVEN
