Surface Pro 2017 touchpad mouse freezing

I've got a new Surface Pro 2017 and today the mouse pointer being driven by the touchpad has started freezing for 1-2 seconds.

All the latest updates are installed.

I've removed the mouse from device manager and then ran Scan for new Hardware.

I've removed and re-installed the lastest Surface firmware package.

But it still does it, however it only seems to happen when the device is on power. It works fine on battery.

Any ideas?

    Just to note - that the upload to the Cloud is only one of the problems.  In pursuit of clarity on this issue, last night I was using the laptop not logged into my Office 365, no browser open, no charger connected.  I was working in a music composer app.  I had to stop - the freeze was ridiculous - and you need the trackpad/pointer to operate this software.  Gave up.....(again).

    Interesting, I on the other hand if you read my latest post: I said that I no longer have this issue. But it is also to note that I no longer (signed out) use the cloud services as I did before. Are you using Gdrive or Odrive?

    It is MS Office 365 and One-Drive.....hmmmm

    Did any of you tried installing the drivers of the surface directly from Microsoft site?

    Help me understand your situation. You say your surface freezes all together? I though the issue in this thread was isolated to to the trackpad on surface cover.

    My SP7 stalls/freezes in tablet mode without the keyboard attached, or anything else including the charger.
