Yes, I know. I really like microsoft and the surface, but it is no good with zooming and trying to show mp4's I have. It just doesn't work. Mac's work. Crazy.

Brand new surface pro for about 2 weeks and I've experienced some random freezes while using the Zoom teaching app. For some reason, each time this happens the audio continues to work but nothing on the surface screen or keyboard is responsive and I'm forced to shutdown and restart each time. Support recommended that I run a recovery tool but that didn't do anything to fix my problem. Does this sound like more of a Zoom problem or a surface problem?
Anyone else have a similar issue and fixed it?

I have the same problem and I have to return the device back. Beside freezing , when I started to use whiteboard whatever I typed was without curve and I dhocked . I couldn’t draw a circle.
I don’t recomment this device and I thought about microsoft as a strong company.
I have had to completely convert to the mac products to do ZOOM. I love my Surface Pro, but it just won't work well with film clips mp4's on ZOOM, and Mac does. I don't get it. Is it a ZOOM problem or a PC problem. How can it be that these mp4's show perfectly on ZOOM while I am teaching, but on the PC, they don't. It has been a source of much trouble for me and not to mention, expense, getting mac products, which by the way, are great as well.
The constant freezing of the system is getting worse and worse. Sometimes 10 crashes per day.
Often happens in meetings in front of customers and I just say that this is typical for Microsoft products. I am beyond the point of getting annoyed about this. When I need to work stable, I use my 6 year old laptop. It runs smoothly.
In the meantime the crashes could be solved by a software update. The successful fix from June 2020 was overwritten by the update from September 2020 and since then the daily crashes are back.
Yeah, an upgrade to 2009 gave me some stability, but post-updates, experiencing some graphical glitching during Zoom, one to two second black screens when using pen, and crashes being noted in Reliability Monitor for Desktop Window Manager, and Surface Service.
Do you mind checking your Reliability Monitor?
