Hello, I noticed today my surface book 2 does not charge while plugging in the charger. I tried both while docking the keyboard in laptop mode and in tablet mode but both does not show any indication of charging. I also noticed the charger does not light up that white led to indicate charging.

Same issue here, charger plug die after 8 mont and just after a replacement of the surfacebook2.
I don't use a lot my surfacebook, got working station, nuc etc... So for a very few hours of use during less than one year got a full replacement and now a charger issue now...
Clearly surfacebook are just crappy hardware overpriced... Got less issue with cheap acer, huawei or computer under 500 euros...
I have the same experience with surface laptop 2 : liquid damage and no charging with different charger. However, I have tried to open the keyboard pad and pour 99% isopropyl alcohol to the whole board especially the charging port and shake it. I dried it with a room fan for few hours and after it dried, it charged completely fine. But then I experience touchscreen bubble and I have to disable touchscreen, may be you just only need to soak the charging port in 99% isopropyl alcohol .
I narrowed it down to the connection - seems like the magnetic port on the surface itself is flimsy at best. Sometimes just a slight nudge or tap on my desk will disconnect it. So my $2000 laptop is at the mercy of a 50 cent part. Would much rather have an old school adapter connection than this garbage. Appalling design choice for such a critical part of a laptop and classic example of Msft's desperate attempts to be cool, when what we really want - and have a right to expect - is RELIABILITY.
Looks like you would need to use a different charger so we can isolate the issue. You can also visit the nearest local Microsoft Store for them to personally check your Surface Book 2. The low battery warning and non-charging is like the Surface's version of the dreaded bsod ... I left my work SB3 charging for 2 days via the awful dock and came back to .... nothing. Wouldn't start, wouldn't charge. Tried the comical Msft suggestion to flip the SB upside down and reconnect it but needless to say that didn't work. I guess it wasn't a full moon....
Eventually it fired up but seriously, the SB3 is a total piece of cr*p and Msft has no more business being in the hardware space than in the internet space. They are a desktop software company struggling to remain relevant and frankly failing miserably. If this SB3 wasn't a work machine I'd dump it in a heartbeat.
Try the battery driver uninstall, as I said earlier that worked for me and it's been perfect since then. By the way, there's no SB3, hasn't even been announced yet.
