What did you do? I have the exact same issue and can't get it to fix.

Hi,
Anyone has the same issue as me?
When I change brightness with keyboard it does change to 30-50% only (no visible change).
When changing in side swipe, with touch it allows me to change 0%-100% (no visible change)
I tried with nigh mode off... no change
Tried windows setting ... no change
Ambient light On/Off... no change
Can anyone help?

2020-07-04T11:46:15+00:00 Mine was doing the same thing (except that my brightness was stuck at about 90% no matter what I did) and I found an old link just now that fixed mine. It said to take the keyboard cover off and reboot.
I took the cover off and shut it down. I then attached the keyboard and turned it on. That fixed my issue.

In the end it was a simple setting:
- Go to Settings
- Display
- Turn "Night Light" On
Problem solved.
