Surface Pro 7 display brightness does not chage

Hi,

Anyone has the same issue as me?

When I change brightness with keyboard it does change to 30-50% only (no visible change).

When changing in side swipe, with touch it allows me to change 0%-100% (no visible change)

I tried with nigh mode off... no change

Tried windows setting ... no change

Ambient light On/Off... no change

Can anyone help?

    This made my screen really small but it didn’t fix the brightness problem.. how can I get my screen back to the way it was?

    (Also any other suggestions for the brightness issue?)

    the way to fix the brightness is to press and hold the power button and the volume buttons until you see the windows logo appear on screen,

    when this happens, let go of the buttons

    to fix the problem of your screen being small I would need some clarification to know what the actual problem is but from what I can tell you need to go to settings > system > display > scale and layout > 200% (recommended)

    if there are black borders around your display then just change the resolution that is the highest on the list under "Display resolution"

    After I clicked "No" the diagnostic tool simply went to the next test with no solution. My mind is beyond blown.

    UPDATE!... I looked up how to restart if Surface Pro wont come on... hold power button and volume control button simultaneously for at least 15 seconds. The screen went dark (i.e. the windows symbol disappeared. And then when I hit the power button, it reloaded and brightness issue was resolved! So the above protocol does appear to have resolved the issue... also now communicating wirelessly with printer again. Thanks!!
