Surface Pro 7 Front Camera Not Working

I'm not sure when it started, since I hadn't used the front camera on the device at all, but today I noticed in the Device manager that the "Surface Camera Front" has an error:

This device cannot start. (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE.

Sure enough, upon opening the camera app, it acts as though I only have the back camera installed.  I am predictably unable to bring up the front camera.

Is there possibly a driver issue, or is this a hardware flaw?

**Edit**: Problem persists through reboots, disable/reenable, troubleshooter, etc.  Notably, I realized the front camera worked for at least the first hour that I had the device, since it shows you the camera feed when setting up Windows Hello.

    Jeff,
    Question for you - did you ever use a third party driver downloaded like the
    Intel Support Assistant or Driver Booster (etc.) to download drivers for your
    Surface before you had this issue initially?

    I have been battling the problem of all three cameras on a Surface Pro 6 for a full 10 hours. Error shows up in Device Manager as a power failure on the three Microsoft Camera devices. I tried lots of suggestions short of rebuilding the computer. None of them worked.

    This one did - changing the device driver for the first of the three "Intel(R) Control Logic" devices back to a previous version and voila - a reboot and the power failure errors on the three camera devices has gone away and the camera app now works.

    2. Right-click on "Surface Camera Front" and select Uninstall. (Note: If prompted with a checkbox stating "Delete the driver software for this device", check it then hit Uninstall. This is to remove the driver completely. Do not restart the Surface yet if prompted.)"

    I'm having front camera issues too (mainly for windows hello - works through Zoom, so I assume that's a different issue).

    Trying above, but under Human Interface Devices, there was no listing for Surface Camera Front or ANY Surface Camera item listed there.

    Hmmm??

    Brilliant! I ran a new install of IOBit Driver Booster and after a string of 25 driver updates (mostly Intel related) I lost my cameras to the "no power" error cited by many. I went through page after page of that repeated the same recommendations that had no effect. Found your post on 4th tab of this thread and it worked like a charm. I used the older Control Logic driver in the picklist and everything worked perfectly after a reboot. Thanks for going the extra mile to add something new to the conversation.
