Although I solved my problem by using the USB Wi-Fi adapter, most people have not and I image a lot of people probably returned the unit because the Wi-Fi card is so unstable. Not to mention those people probably discouraged many others from getting one.
From a business point of view I can't comprehend how Microsoft expects users to purchase a defective problem. Any other company would have already solved this issue by now if not immediately after launch. Don't they know that this is practically killing the sales of this device?
Several months later, this is not solved and it is a key component of the device that must work flawlessly. Customer support never acknowledges there is a problem, Microsoft store employees do not acknowledge this is a problem, and we have not see any updates that can point to solving this problem permanently yet.
Like many users have posted here, it is hard to support a company that clearly does not understand what it takes to make a product successful anymore.
