I get this, too. It can happen up to five times a day. I don't tend to use my surface pro for anything intensive. I'll pull open sketchbook pro and my screen will go dark. I'll hit the power button several times and get the splash screen several times. It'll lose my progress arting, too. I'm going to start recommending people against the surface pro 2. I use it for school, so losing my progress regardless of how much I save is disastrous.
Surface Pro 1 on Windows 8.1 reboots when Type Cover 2 is removed
I just noticed this recently but sometimes I get a Random reboot not even doing anything particular. I also noticed twice that when I attached my Type Cover 2 it reboots. Example I attached it and the SURFACE logo shows and it boots up.
Anyone else experiencing this.?

2014-04-20T03:30:09+00:00 It is kind of crazy, but I have not had it happen again since I posted in here! Magic maybe? Seriously, I don't know if some updates have taken care of it or if maybe it's some sort of key order stroke that brings it on or what. Knock on wood, the problem seems to have resolved itself over here. Good luck!

2014-04-14T20:33:02+00:00 Please all, clean well your keyboard and surface contact with alcool. This problem is due to intermitent conductibility caused by lubricant film !
