Surface Pro 1 on Windows 8.1 reboots when Type Cover 2 is removed
I just noticed this recently but sometimes I get a Random reboot not even doing anything particular. I also noticed twice that when I attached my Type Cover 2 it reboots. Example I attached it and the SURFACE logo shows and it boots up.
Anyone else experiencing this.?

2014-02-22T11:01:44+00:00 I've done this with the help of a lovely gentleman when I called Microsoft support and it does help even if it doesn't fix the problem entirely. Now random shut downs only happen every 1-2 weeks instead of 1-2 days.

2014-02-20T13:59:00+00:00 I had this issue for the 2nd time yesterday. Surface Pro 2 with 8.1 Right out of the blue, Surface sitting there to my left, and boom, a self-reboot. I wasn't touching it. This isn't good, especially in my business. I love my Surface Pro 2, but I use it to stream stenography in real time. If this happens during a work session, this would be very detrimental. Hope this bug gets fixed!

2014-02-19T22:41:27+00:00 I have been having the same issue recently. Surface keeps restarting a few times then it is working fine. Next day it happens again. Is it due to recent update???
I have been fortunate since my replacement I have done all updates and have yet to experience the reboot. I wish we could narrow it down to a test we could do that would always cause it to reboot, but we all have had only ideas.
