As I mentioned in a previous post in the last couple of days I've had my machine randomly restart a couple of time one after the other. It was the first time in about 6 weeks or so.
I also believe it to be a software issue and not hardware related as I never had the issue with Windows 8, only since upgrading to Windows 8.1.
I spoke to support via the online chat again today. I spoke to the same lady, Louise who I spoke to before and suggested I reset to default keys (as stated on page 6 in my post).
She said the following:
I just spoke to a senior tech there briefly, and he is going to raise it in a call on Thursday, but that's as far as I can really go with any actions being taken upon it.
I also will highlight this forum thread with him.
So hopefully something is going to be formally raised.
I'm guessing the senior tech guy has regular meetings to discuss issues that have been raised. Maybe now something official
will be done. Who knows, a patch may come out this coming patch Tuesday - although I do find this unlikely.
Fingers crossed. However, I do feel we should be getting offered replacement units as this does leave our Surface Pro's unreliable.
We will see...
