I think the latest update increased the throttling dramatically , I think they are trying to hide the problem with these machines.

I just purchased the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 and have only been using it for one day. In that time it has frozen and completely restarted itself 4 times. It is brand new and I probably only have an hour or two or screen time. There is no specific thing that causes it, the screen just randomly freezes until the surface restarts on it's own. Any solutions or help would be greatly appreciated.

2020-06-26T09:58:27+00:00 I had same issue. Had my tablet for about 5-6 days now and it freeze or just shut itself for about 6 times. Three time just today. I had enough and returned my tablet and got a replacement. This is i7 16gb ram and 512 ssd. I have surfacd go, someone gave it to me, had for two years, never had any issue. I am also finding my pro cant find the go as wireless screen. I tried many tjme, eventually got it working and then after two minites the pro stopped working. And i restarted again then go disappeared on the list. I am havjng doubt about the product now.

have you found a way to reliably reproduce? I just received a replacement because of mine locking up.
the replacement locked up in first 5 minutes while running some stability tests, but now has been running same tests for 1 hour without lockup.

2020-06-23T10:22:07+00:00 It looked promising for a while, but today had another 2 crashes again. No obvious reason (first time the SP7 was on power and felt quite warm; second on battery and no increased chassis temp).

2020-06-11T03:21:17+00:00 My Surface Pro 7 was updated last night with 2 Firmware updates, supposedly "Addresses unexpected shutdown failure, and improves system stability". Let's see, hopefully the freezes and restarts are a thing of the past.
