I love my Surface Duo 2, but the latest update has broken this device. It resets constantly. I had to purchase a replacement phone since I relied on my Duo 2 as my daily driver(bought a Samsung product). I cannot stop conducting business while they figure how to release a phone update. Microsoft took a great device and made it unusable. I miss using my Duo 2. Perhaps Microsoft should look into their software verification before they release another update. Most people can't have their phone suddenly become unusable. This will drive them to replace their device with a competitor. It is a shame...
Admittedly, I was already not looking forward to the Duo 3 because of my experiences with the 1 and 2. With Windows Central reporting that Duo 3 will be a single screen foldable, all the work done on Duo 2 will get tossed out the window (no pun intended). Technically, at least in regard to Microsoft, this is a new form factor for them. Their software and launcher were designed for two screens and now they have to design it for one. If we're being blunt, that's just new ways for Microsoft to screw up. I can definitely see how the Duo 3 will be yet another beta product.
Because I don't need or want a single screen foldable, I was already eyeballing the new Motorola Razr+. A bricked Duo with no ETA for the fix is making that decision much easier.
