Surface Duo 2 - permanent reboots after Update may 30 2023

DId anyone else experience random shutdowns and/or reboots not coming up again after the update may 30 2023? Display showing the option of retrying oder factory reset.

Saw also some postings on reddit regarding this new issue.

Thank you for your patience while we have investigated Surface Duo devices that would restart after the May 30th, 2023 update. The June 26th, 2023 update improves system stability. See Update Surface Duo for more info on how to update your Surface Duo or Surface Duo 2.

    Did u setup internet connection on first time setup phone proccess? If u did it will update automatically to latest version

    I did not. I also did not have my SIM inserted.

    And I just checked to make sure I wasn't crazy... The recovery image straight from Microsoft's website is - Surface Duo2 128GB mmWave - Android 12 - 2023.425.15

    Did the image restores the device to old firmware?

    If it does check for update several times.

    In this case you're lucky that u can stop updating the last one that broke the device.

    It restored to build number 2023.425.15

    I checked for updates but that was the latest one.

    Did u setup internet connection on first time setup phone proccess? If u did it will update automatically to latest version

    High battery usage is normal if you're using mobile data

    I got the same problem too using mobile data
