Surface Pro Pen pressure sensitivity is not working in photoshop CS6.

I was told at the Microsoft-store that the Surface Pro's Pen was Wacom and would work as such. After I bought one, I learned that Photoshop wouldn't work with the pen. After a long discussion, the Microsoft phone-support told me that the Surface Pro pen was not a Wacom pen.

Yeah, well they lied to you on the phone: it is a Wacom, I've tested it with my other Wacom penabled pens and they were recognized (pen from a Modbook and HP TM2).

Google News with hits for the stylus/Photoshop and a winsource.com article. Looks like MS is working on it at least...

Additionally, they said they were waiting for Adobe to add support to their software and had no idea how this would be implemented or when.

I don't think a "pro" machine should be claiming to use Wacom technology when it uses something else. I also don't think they should be claiming that it can "run photoshop" when key features are disabled.

I returned my Surface yesterday. I liked the machine and really want one, but the Surface Pro does not function as advertised. If they get the pen supported in photoshop, I will buy one and keep it.

Nope, it's Microsoft's fault.  Adobe could implement the INK API, but that wouldn't help those of us who wish to use other software, like Blender, GIMP, MyPaint, or others that only recognize WinTab pressure support.
