Surface Pro Pen pressure sensitivity is not working in photoshop CS6.

I don't see how this is the software developers fault. If Samsung was able to impliment Wintab into their tablet, I don't see what the problem is with Surface Pro. Both products use the same pen technology. Most developers would agree anyway that Ink API is buggy and incomplete.

I'm going to be so disappointed if this pen driver is just an update to Ink API.

Also me and and few others left a comment on the latest blog post regarding our suspicion, but as usual they went ignored (and it's not like they were too busy as the responded to others)

ArtRage is an acceptable program. But I would and hammer on the fact that either side (Microsoft, other third party software developers) to finish bridging the capability so that the programs work.

 I would opt for the comparable Samsung ATIV Smart PC Pro 700T but I hate their implementation of their hardware keyboard attachment and function (but the extra ports are a plus). Their default pen/stylus is suck as it doesn't have an eraser, which defeats the built in pen silo as you need to buy an external pen anyways, that sits outside of the device...

I ask that Corel, Adobe, and others as well/or Microsoft fix this soon. The strongest marketing comes from the end user and if your product is up to par, will speak volumes over whatever flashy commercial ever shows.

I dont think this is completely a microsoft issue for the surface pro pen.  i have art rage studio (which has been around for years) and all touch and pen functionality works in that.  Its what is best described as a hybrid of sketckbook pro and the live paint app and the interface is very simular to sketchbook pro.  Since this desktop program works and was created long before surface pro came along, Im incline to say that this is the software manufacturer not intergrating the APIs to support all possible input methods current and/or being developed.  Im sure that most graphics software are written with wintab support, but the more complex the program, the less likely they are to start integrating new and untested code, especially if their main customer base relies on the software to deliver content on already tight schedules.  Just saying.  I know that not all functions (pressure most importantly) do not work with the professional line of Toon Boom Animation software that i use, and they use the same APIs for tablet input that adobe uses.

Its a shame that after spending $1100 plus on the surface Pro only to find out that it doesnt work as advertised.....BUT as advertised meaning from microsoft's design and engineering point of view and their planning and anticipating what consumers will use the device for.  I am overall very happy with the device and am going to have continue to support the microsoft brand as i always have and trust that they will come up with a solution even if the software makers dont.  They have proven to really take the consumer experience to heart and actively making advances in both products and services over the past few years, unlike a few of their competitors.

Could someone with twitter verify that multitouch pan-and-zoom in Photoshop will also be fixed with this update? Twitter seems to be the only thing Microsoft responds to.

I would be very surprised indeed to find out that the Cintiq HD Touch only works as advertized in the Mac version of Photoshop.
