Monitor stuck on displayport with 640x480

Hi all.. Today after I updated my surface pro, my monitor is stuck in a 640x480 resolution. Which is no good with a 49 inch Samsung monitor. If I plug in the HDMI, it works, but, resolution is not that good like it was on the Displayport. Any tips or tricks to get it working again? For some reason it shows 'Flat Panel, 640x480' when using display port, but the samsung drivers when using HDMI.

I am using the surface dock as well. I tried the displayport of the monitor with other computers and it's working fine. Not with surface. Really need help with this one!

Just realized that it's over an year since this thread first appeared, and we're still here.

    Sigh.

After seeing some firmware updates over the weekend, I was hopeful when I got into the office this morning that my second monitor would work - nope, over a year and still only 1 monitor works through the Surface Dock and SP7.

In light of the release of SP7+ and the anniversary of this problem, would the Surface team be so kind to fix this for us?

My monitor has DP and HDMI 1.4, so HDMI is not a desirable solution because that would restrict the refresh rate to 30Hz.

Am still waiting for a fix from Microsoft and to unblock my own community account which they promised to do after a 30-day suspension.

    Frustrated!
